Description
The armadillo’s thick shell gives it a unique appearance. It covers its entire body except for its pointed nose and eyes. You can tell from its long nose that the armadillo can smell very well and can sniff out insects even when they are buried deep in the ground. It can handle heat very well. It lives in South America and is used to hot days.
It is unmistakable and its name fits it like a glove. The thick shell wraps around its entire body like several belts. It has a funny look. Especially when it runs nimbly through the desert on its short legs. It must have sniffed out something delicious with its keen sense of smell. Its favourite food is insects. It can hold its breath for up to six minutes to bring them out from under the ground! After all the effort it has made, it has earned its meal.
