Maisto International builds cars — not the kind you drive, but the kind you collect or play with. The company makes authentic-looking scale models of cars, ranging from the 1965 Pontiac GTO to the latest Lamborghini Gallaro, as well as motorcycles and trucks. Models vary from 1:64 to 1:10 scale. Maisto (pronounced “mace-toe”) works with carmakers and with toy retailers, selling to national and regional chains and independent toy and hobby stores. It also makes special-edition pieces for premium and promotional customers. Maisto, which sells its products throughout the world, was founded in 1967 by the Ngan family. It is part of the May Cheong Group, a Hong Kong-based vertically integrated manufacturer.
