Description
Initially established in 2021 as Eurowings Discover, the Eurowings spin-off served long-haul tourist destinations in North America, the Caribbean and Africa with a fleet of Airbus A330s. Shortly afterwards, further vacation destinations, for example to the Canary Islands, were transferred to Eurowings Discover, with the first A320 medium-haul jets joining the fleet. In order to differentiate itself more clearly from Eurowings, which now concentrates on the low-cost segment, parent company Lufthansa separated the vacation airline division and repositioned it as Discover Airlines, including independent branding. In addition to 13 A330s for long-haul routes, the Discover fleet now also includes twelve A320s, which fly to popular tourist destinations around the Mediterranean and in Scandinavia. Originally designed for inflight sales, the plastic push-fit models of the Herpa Snap-Fit series shine with an attractive finish and a great value for the money. Snap-Fit models are available in the scales 1/100, 1/200 to 1/250, include an elegant display stand, and can be assembled in no time without a drop of glue.
