Sustainable Aviation Fuel is a low-carbon alternative to normal jet fuel that can be used to fuel aircraft without requiring significant modification. By utilizing SAF, United can lower emissions by up to 85%. Delivered in November of 2024, N24988 is part of a substantial order for more than 100 Dreamliners that are to replace the Star Alliance member’s aging Boeing 767 fleet.
